What You Need to Know
The Desktop Support group in the Division of Information Technology is the primary technical support department for SJSU faculty and staff for all aspects of Desktop Computing, including desktop workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
We also provide technical information and consultative support for connecting to and using campus computing information systems and IT resources, including Gmail, enterprise systems, and networks.

SJSU IT Work from Anywhere
Most SJSU systems and applications are provided via the Cloud and may be accessed readily from anywhere, including but not limited to the following:
- Google Workspace: GMail, Calendar, Drive, Hangouts
- Oracle PeopleSoft SIS/HCM/CFS, SJSU@Work, MySJSU
- SJSU-FTS (Financial Transaction Services)

Standard Workstation Configurations
A workstation is defined as any Desktop, VDI Thin Client, Laptop, or Mobile Tablet type device. The Workstation Hardware Standard [pdf] is not intended to be a complete specification of system requirements, but rather highlight the required elements of Workstation configurations. To request support with your workstation, submit the Workstation Refresh Program Order Form.
