DMA operates two digital media art labs in the SJSU Art Building - the CADRE Physical Computing Lab and the CADRE Data Visualization and Game Development Lab -where students and faculty work together on coursework and ongoing project development. Our labs are equipped with state-of-the-art Mac and PC computers with a wide range of software in addition to high-definition digital video, digital photography, sound and video projection equipment available for student checkout.

Our labs feature 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, electronics and game development workstations open exclusively to DMA students 24/7 during the academic year. The Art and Art History Department provides additional fabrication facilities through our comprehensive wood and metal shops in addition to large-scale sculptural fabrication at the offsite SJSU Foundry.
