Our Mission

The Co-Curricular Learning, Educational Equity, and Assessment office contributes to student development by supporting program assessment using a defined student affairs curriculum, supporting the practice of quality assessment, and creating a people-centered culture of continuous improvement.

What is assessment?

Assessment is a of cycle of continuous improvement where goals are set, efforts towards those goals are evaluated, and then those goals are refined, all with the intent of improving programs and services.

CLAO Core Functions

At CLAO, our core functions consist of integrated planning and reporting, data collection, and analysis.

Assessment Tools and Training

To carry out assessments, we use highly-data driven approaches. The need for such methods require us to use resources, including Nuventive, and Qualtrics.

Office of the VP

Co-Curricular Learning and Assessment is a part of the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Our work supports the Division in its efforts to use a co-curricular approach to assess programs and services with a data-driven approach.
