Housing Options

SJSU offers a range of options from traditional and suite-style housing to apartment-style living. Learn more about our housing options, theme communities and the unique residential living experience in each of our building communities.

Spartan Village on the Paseo

Approximately 670 new student beds will occupy what is currently the south tower of the San José Hilton Signia luxury hotel complex in the heart of downtown.

SJSU Immunization Requirements

All students living in on campus housing are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 with recent and approved immunizations.  Refer to the links below for information about the housing and campus vaccine requirements and latest COVID-19 response updates.

Accommodations

University Housing Services works in collaboration with the Accessible Education Center (AEC) to provide housing accommodations for students with documented disabilities who meet the eligibility and verification requirements. Students requesting an accommodation should review the Housing Accommodations information prior to completing the Housing Application.

SJSU International House

Have you considered living in on-campus housing at the International House? The International House (I-House) is home to U.S. and international students who are freshman through graduate students.  As an SJSU housing option, the I-House community provides a diverse and welcoming intercultural living environment. Click here for updates about the I-House application process. 

Frosh Live On Requirement

The Frosh Live-On Requirement is suspended for the 2024-2025 academic year. No first-year student is required to live in campus housing or complete and submit an exemption form. 

Meal Plans

Spartan Eats is the campus provider of student dining and has meal plans available for purchase.

Tour Information

Limited in-person tours are currently offered. Campus facilities can also be toured virtually through videos and in 3D. 

Information on in-person tours will be provided when in-person tours can be resumed.
